As a nursing assistant (undersköterska equivalent), you work in a team with operating department nurses, anesthesia nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons. Through a high level of competence among staff in medical, nursing, and technical areas, we provide the patient with the best possible care. As a nursing assistant, you take significant responsibility together with the team to ensure the operation is performed safely. The logistics surrounding the operation place high demands on your competence.

You prepare the operation together with the operating department nurse by fetching and setting up instruments and sterile materials, as well as preparing the necessary medical-technical equipment. During the operation, you are responsible for supplying the team with instruments and materials. After the operation, you and the operating department nurse count the instruments and document the procedure.

We welcome you if you are educated as a nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on emergency care according to the previous program structure, or are educated according to the current program structure. To assess employability, grades from your nursing education and proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) of the protected professional title must be attached to your application.

We are looking for you who have the drive to develop yourself and your workplace. You should have good teamwork skills, be flexible, open to development, and able to work both independently and in a team. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

The application should include a CV, a cover letter, and grades from completed nursing courses, as well as proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare of the protected professional title if applicable. Other certificates, grades, and diplomas should be provided during a potential interview.
