YOUR ROLE

As a preschool teacher in Skellefteå Municipality, you help shape the very first part of the children's educational journey. You are responsible for creating a safe, inspiring, and developmental environment where play and learning go hand in hand.

You plan, implement, and follow up on teaching together with your colleagues. You are also the one who captures the moments when learning happens spontaneously. Sometimes you show the way forward, sometimes you step aside and let the children take the steps themselves. With your commitment and creativity, you help every individual grow, and you make a difference in every encounter.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for you who want to work closely with the children and contribute to their development every day. You are a qualified preschool teacher with a license, but even you who are waiting for your license are welcome to apply if you can show a receipt from the Swedish National Agency for Education. Since you will be working closely with children, you need to submit a current extract from the criminal record.

We believe you thrive in an environment where play and learning go hand in hand. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues and guardians, and the children meet you as a safe and responsive adult who sees, listens, and encourages. Your presence and commitment make a difference in both small and large moments.

Since the work involves documentation and communication with digital tools, it is important that you have basic IT skills. It is also a requirement that you have good communicative skills in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and can adapt your language to different situations and target groups. A category B driver's license is also required in some areas.

It is an advantage if you have previously worked in a preschool, especially with planning and teaching based on the curriculum. If you speak Finnish or Sami, we see it as an asset, and sign language is also valuable in our operations.
