We believe that progress and opportunities are best created together. Welcome to a place where collaboration makes a difference.

At our company, team spirit, collaboration, and the will to win together are the core of how we work. We support each other, share knowledge, and celebrate successes as a team. We are now looking for you who want to join our journey forward – where we together develop future solutions and strengthen our existing programs.

Your Role

The future brings many exciting challenges, both within development projects and within existing aftermarket programs. Our mission is to create and maintain an efficient maintenance program for our aircraft types in collaboration with engineers, operators, subcontractors, and authorities.

In the role of Maintenance Program Engineer, you will belong to the Maintenance Program section within the Aircraft Development area and the Aircraft Engineering Management function. Within the Maintenance Program section, there is a wide range of tasks, and the position offers opportunities for development in both technical areas and leadership.

We are looking for you who want to work with:

  • Ensuring that maintenance programs and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) are developed, maintained, and improved.
  • Contributing to the development of working methods/methodology for our aircraft within our certifications.
  • Leading work related to maintenance programs.
  • Having close internal collaboration with other departments in design and customer support, as well as external contacts with authorities and end customers who operate our products.

Your Profile

As an engineer in our design organization, we see that you have a very strong ability to lead both work and people in the work with maintenance programs and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a team environment and can relate to other people in a listening and smooth manner. You are curious, proactive, and have an easy time prioritizing tasks that help you work in a targeted and efficient way. With a proactive approach, you have the ability to see the big picture and work long-term. We also see that your communication skills are well-developed and that you thrive in a role where you get to build networks.

In addition to the personal qualities mentioned above, we see that:

  • You have a good technical overview, analytical ability, and can view challenges and tasks from a holistic perspective.
  • Experience in design or maintenance activities from aviation is meritorious, preferably on Saab 340/2000 or Global 6000/6500.
  • You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.

Please note that we work with ongoing selection and that the position may be filled before the final application date has passed. Since we are recruiting during the vacation period, you can expect a response to your application by the end of August.

What You Will Be Part Of

Special Mission and Regional Aircraft (SMRA) is part of the Aeronautics business area within Aviation Services. In addition to maintaining the civil fleet of Saab 340/2000, we also conduct several major development projects, where we integrate subsystems into airborne products such as GlobalEye. We are characterized by an open and honest culture where we conduct continuous improvement work and where communication channels are short. You will become part of a small group where we help each other in daily work and continuously share our experiences.

Discover endless possibilities. Embrace challenges, create smart innovations, and upgrade your skills. This is a place for clever thinkers, brave pioneers, and everyone in between. Together we achieve the extraordinary, each bringing their unique perspective. Every contribution counts.
