We are currently looking for 2 teachers for our after-school centers in Skellefteå Municipality.

Your Role

As an after-school teacher, you plan, lead, and develop the pedagogical work based on the school's governing documents. Your task is to create learning environments that encourage interaction, curiosity, and creativity – where students get the chance to try, discover, and learn through both play and activities.

You collaborate closely with other educators, and together you shape a holistic approach that benefits every student's development, both in school and at after-school care. The role also involves contributing to building relationships with students and guardians, and jointly creating the best conditions for the children's daily lives.

Your Competence and Experience

We are looking for you who have a teaching certification with a focus on after-school care. If you are at the end of your education and waiting for certification, you are also welcome to apply.

To succeed in the role, you need the ability to create engagement and security. You are clear and responsive in your communication and can switch between leading larger groups, smaller groups, and individual students. The balance between structure and creativity is something you enjoy, and you see diversity and differences as a strength in the operations.

To work within Education and Labor Market operations, you are required to submit an extract from the criminal record register. You order the extract for schools and childcare yourself from the Police. It is valid for one year and must be renewed thereafter.

Skellefteå Municipality is part of the Finnish and Sami administrative areas. Language skills in Finnish and Sami, as well as cultural competence in these areas, are therefore meritorious.
