Do you want to give our youngest students the best possible start in life? We are now recruiting teachers for grades F-3. As a teacher in grades F-3, you will be both a leader and a guide, the adult who provides security, builds trust, and shares in the joy of students' first major learning milestones. Together with dedicated colleagues, you will create a school environment where children can grow, develop, and lay the foundation for the rest of their educational journey.

YOUR ROLE

As a teacher in grades F-3, you will become an important part of the students' first school year. You will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching, ensuring that every student receives the support and challenges needed to succeed. The focus is on developing students' skills in reading, writing, and mathematics, as well as creating a safe and inspiring environment where children can develop socially and personally.

A large part of your work involves collaboration with colleagues, students, and guardians. Together, you will find solutions to create the best possible conditions for the students.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for you who have a teaching license for grades F-3. If you are in the final stages of your education and waiting for your license, you are also welcome to apply.

To thrive in this role, you need a genuine desire to work with children, the ability to inspire and engage in the classroom, and at the same time be a secure and clear leader. You value collaboration, see opportunities in developing operations together with others, and meet differences with openness and respect.

To work within Education and Labor Market operations, you are required to submit an extract from the criminal record. You order the extract for schools and childcare yourself from the Police. It is valid for one year and must be renewed thereafter.

Skellefteå Municipality is part of a Finnish and Sami administrative area. Language skills in Finnish and Sami, as well as cultural competence in these areas, are therefore meritorious.
