Ersnäs Preschool is located 2.5 miles south of Luleå, in the middle of a residential area with walking distance to forests, meadows, and Ersnäs School. We have a nice outdoor and indoor environment that invites play and learning. At our preschool, the approach to work is permeated by joy, community, and collaboration. We see the individual child and plan, implement, and evaluate education based on the interests and conditions of each individual child. The planning is based on the preschool's guiding documents. We place great emphasis on ensuring that all children feel a sense of group belonging and the community it brings.

Our preschool consists of two departments where we have close collaboration between the departments. Thanks to this collaboration, we can keep the children's best interests in focus and create security.

WORK RESPONSIBILITIES

As a preschool teacher, you play a crucial role in children's development and well-being. You will have a multifaceted role and work closely with childcare assistants and other staff at the preschool to create a safe, stimulating, and accessible education for the children. Your main work tasks include:

• ensuring goal-directed processes take place and conducting teaching together with childcare assistants, where children's participation and influence are central
• ensuring that teaching in the preschool takes place in accordance with the goals in the curriculum
• planning, implementing, and developing teaching together in the work team and for the entire preschool
• ensuring that the preschool's learning environments offer variation where children can further develop their skills in an accessible learning environment for care, play, movement, health, development, and learning

You work to create safe and trusting relationships with children, colleagues, and guardians.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are educated and licensed as a preschool teacher with the eligibility to teach in preschool, and who have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. It is meritorious if you have professional experience from working in a preschool, as well as if you have knowledge in one of our minority languages or in another language.

As a person, you need to be structured and able to plan, organize, and complete your work. To succeed in the role, it is required that you have the ability to meet the needs of different children, to create good relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues, and that you value collaboration and strive for common success. Your creative ability to think in new ways when needed is also important.

Start date: 2026-09-01, or by agreement.
