Härjedalen Municipality and the joint student health service need to recruit school nurses to the schools in western Härjedalen.

As a school nurse, you will have a central and important role in the school's student health work, contributing your medical competence. You are part of the integrated student health service and work in a cross-professional manner together with educators and other staff in the student health team to create the best conditions for students' health, development, and learning.

One of the two positions requires that necessary decisions have been made.

Job Responsibilities

As a school nurse, you work at the individual, group, and school unit levels and actively contribute to the school's cross-professional forums.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Offering and conducting health talks, health visits, and vaccinations according to national guidelines and the established national baseline program.
• Working to promote and prevent health issues among students, both physical, mental, and social.
• Being available for open reception.
• Providing guidance and consultation to the school's other staff.
• Collaborating continuously and systematically with other professions in the student health service as well as educators at the school.
• Cooperating with external actors and authorities.
• Building relationships with students and collaborating with students and guardians.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with one of the following further educations:

• Specialist Nurse Education in Health and Medical Care for Children (75 hp).
• District Nurse (75 hp).
• School Nurse Program (60 hp).

A B-driver's license is required for the position as you need to travel by car between the schools.

In the event of employment, a police certificate must be presented.
