About the Role

We are currently looking for a mechanical designer for one of our clients who wants to help develop the next generation of high-voltage products. You will become part of a small and growing development organization where the focus is on creating new products and technical solutions rather than maintaining existing designs.

The team works with products in the high-voltage sector, such as switches and battery disconnect systems, used within the energy and automotive industries. Here, you will have the opportunity to be involved throughout the entire development process, from idea and concept to finished product.

This role suits you if you enjoy solving complex technical problems, exploring new solutions, and working on projects where not all answers are known from the start.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-voltage products and technical solutions.
• Work with CAD design, primarily in Catia.
• Develop and refine technical specifications and requirement documents.
• Participate in concept development, technical investigations, and prototype creation.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, electrical engineers, and external suppliers.
• Contribute to solving technical challenges where requirements and solutions are not always defined from the start.
• Participate in customer meetings and, over time, take a more leading role in technical discussions.
• Support testing, analysis, and material selection.

Who We Are Looking For

• You have a Master's degree in mechanical design, mechanical engineering, or a similar field.
• You have approximately 0.5–5 years of work experience in mechanical design and/or product development.
• You have good CAD skills, preferably in Catia, although experience with other CAD systems is also relevant.
• You communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

• Injection molding, plastic design, or tooling design.
• Manufacturing technology and product development processes.
• The energy sector or high-voltage products.
• Material analysis, testing, or design within electrical and energy systems.

In addition to the above requirements, great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. We are looking for someone who is unpretentious, a positive team player, and eager to share knowledge and experiences with the team. We also believe you are detail-oriented yet communicative, comfortable taking a stand in meetings. You are expected to document your work, which requires good organizational skills.

Additional Information

This is a consultancy assignment, meaning you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition is that you will eventually become directly employed by the client.
