Do you want to be part of developing the Water and Wastewater (VA) operations in Kristianstad Municipality?

We are now looking for an engaged, driven, and experienced Development Engineer for VA, who wants to take responsibility and support the department in both strategic and operational matters related to the municipality's water and wastewater operations.

Do you have solid competence within VA (sewage, biogas, sludge, drinking water, stormwater), both technically and process-related, and are you driven by research and development? Then perhaps we are looking for you!

Your role with us

The position is new, which means there is an opportunity to help shape the role. The role is broad with a focus across the entire VA area.

Your tasks include supporting the department in preparing materials for strategic and operational decisions. You will drive development issues within the VA area, keeping a close eye on the external environment regarding new technology, research findings, legislation, and developments within the VA sector.

You will serve as project support in various forms, as well as operational support for process-related issues and support during the implementation of new technology.

You will help Kristianstad VA take the next step in our journey to drive and develop various research and development projects, preferably in collaboration with universities/higher education institutions and other actors. We see you working to strengthen the brand for VA in Kristianstad.

Who are we looking for?

You who apply have an engineering degree that the employer assesses as relevant for the area of work.

We want you to have many years of experience with VA, knowledge of sewage technology and processes, biogas, sludge, drinking water, and stormwater. Experience in research and development is meritorious, as is experience in driving and leading projects. We would also like you to have experience with investigations regarding sustainable management of water and wastewater in an urban environment.

Naturally, you handle the Office package as a natural part of your work. You who apply to us have a B-driver's license to easily navigate around the municipality when needed.

Your personality is very important to us, which means you are a team player who can also inspire others. As a person, you are driven, independent, and responsible. You have good analytical skills and can translate theory and research results into practical use in our operations. You are service-oriented, have good communication skills, and find it easy to collaborate both internally and externally. The work involves many social interfaces, which requires that you have the ability to express yourself well both orally and in writing.
