Do you want to work close to production and optimize cutting and pressing processes? We are looking for a curious Production Technician who is driven by improvement work, technical challenges, and collaboration in a modern industrial environment.
About the role
Do you want to work close to production and help optimize cutting and pressing processes? We are currently looking for a Production Technician for a fixed-term assignment via Academic Work until December 2026. The role involves close collaboration with production, R&D, and the technical team, where you will drive improvement initiatives, analyze processes, and develop our pressing and cutting lines. Here, you will play a key role in ensuring quality, efficiency, and continuous development in a modern industrial setting.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the performance of cutting tools and optimize pressing and cutting lines
- Create and update cutting and pressing programs, and participate in test runs
- Drive and follow up on improvement work in production
- Support tool maintenance and production with technical queries
- Contribute to production technology projects and product launches
- Develop technical solutions, instructions, and documentation
- Collaborate with R&D, internal technical functions, and external suppliers
- Support and train production staff in daily operations
- Drive and implement improvement suggestions from the production floor
We are looking for someone who
- Has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Has a technical education or equivalent experience
- Has a good understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably within sheet metal processing (cutting and pressing)
- Has experience working with tools (tooling)
- Has a good understanding of process improvement and continuous improvement
- Can perform data analysis and work with monitoring of process parameters
- Has the ability to create technical documentation and instructions
- Has knowledge of quality assurance and quality work
- Has an understanding of production technology and industrial process flows
- Is curious and analytical, and thrives in a role where technology, data, and production meet
- Has strong collaboration skills and thrives in cross-functional teams (production, R&D, technology)
It is an advantage if you have
- Experience with programming in an industrial environment
- Experience from production technology projects or product launches
- Experience with Lean or similar improvement methodologies
- Experience with pressing and cutting processes in industry
- Experience in supporting or training operators
