This is a key role in planning, monitoring, and optimizing production in an industrial operation. You will collaborate with several functions and contribute to efficient flows, good delivery precision, and continuous development of working methods.

About the role

As a Production Planner, you play a key role in creating structure and efficiency in production. You plan, monitor, and optimize production flows in a complex industrial environment, acting as a vital link between project management, logistics, and production to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. In this role, you will be employed by Academic Work and assigned to our client. The assignment is initially for 6 months.

Responsibilities

The role entails overall responsibility for planning, monitoring, and developing production flows to maximize efficiency and minimize disruptions.

  • Create and manage production plans to achieve high efficiency.
  • Monitor, optimize, and adjust ongoing production plans.
  • Coordinate activities with project management, material supply, and logistics.
  • Analyze and identify future bottlenecks in resources and machinery.
  • Develop and improve methods for production planning and logistics.
  • Manage interfaces with production line functions.
  • Participate in complex forecasting and process control.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has post-secondary education in production planning, industrial economics, logistics, or equivalent vocational education.
  • Has the ability to analyze complex flows and see connections in planning processes.
  • Has very good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
  • Has a passed security clearance according to current regulations.

It is an advantage if you have

  • Experience working with MPS or ERP systems.
  • Knowledge within Lean Production, Six Sigma, or WCM.
  • Background from work in large-scale industrial production.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
