RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Building Inspector, you play a key role in the societal planning process and contribute to a sustainable and safe built environment. You work with case processing and supervision under the Planning and Building Act (PBL) and have many contacts with private individuals, businesses, and other authorities.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

  • processing building permits, notifications, and start- and completion notices
  • conducting technical consultations, site visits, and final consultations
  • exercising supervision according to PBL
  • providing advice and information to applicants and the public
  • collaborating with colleagues within the municipality as well as external actors
  • contributing to the development of working methods and routines within the operations
  • preparing and presenting cases to the Environmental and Building Committee

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a relevant university degree in construction or another education that the employer deems equivalent
  • good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act (PBL) and related regulations
  • experience working as a Building Inspector or in a similar role is an advantage
  • good ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
  • a valid B driver's license

As a person, you are structured, service-oriented, and have good collaboration skills. You work independently, are confident in your professional role, and have a professional and pedagogical approach.

The position is a fixed-term employment for one year.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
