As a protective security guard at Avarn Security, you have a socially important mission to protect and monitor protected objects in accordance with the Security Protection Act.

A protective security guard's task is to monitor protected objects and protect against sabotage, espionage, terrorist crimes, and aggravated robbery. A protective security guard has special powers to inspect vehicles, conduct body searches, seize items, and reject or detain persons found at a protected object. Protected objects are operations that are important for society to function in peace, crisis, or war. Examples of protected objects are a nuclear power plant, an airport, or a military facility.

Working hours: Varying day and night shifts

Duration: We are looking for you who want to work on an as-needed basis throughout the year, with good opportunities for full-time employment.

Job duties: As a protective security guard, you work in many different environments with varying tasks such as staffing entrance receptions, ensuring that no unauthorized persons have access to the protected object, as well as stationary and patrolling security. This applies to both armed and unarmed services.

Qualities we are looking for: You want to work with safety-creating tasks and have a natural aptitude for combining service with a pronounced security mindset. You are meticulous and structured in your work approach as there may be some administrative work in the role. We are looking for security-conscious and service-oriented employees with inner security, maturity, and a natural drive to help out. Great importance is placed on communication and collaboration skills as this assignment involves a lot of contact with both customers, contractors, and visitors. Personal qualities are what determine the best fit for the assignment. We place great importance on your ability to work in a team, but we also expect you to be able to independently identify and solve problems. You have a positive attitude towards your work and have the ability to spread positive energy in a work team.

Requirements for applicants:

In addition to the personal qualities we seek and describe in the various assignments, you must meet basic requirements to qualify for the position:

• be at least 18 years old before starting the assignment
• high school diploma
• good Swedish language skills (spoken and written)
• Class B driver's license

You also need to be crime-free*, drug-free, have a sound economy, as well as good health and physical fitness to be employed at Avarn Security.

** If you have completed protective security guard training during basic military training, it is also valid for civilian use. The training must have been completed in 2016 or later, and the certificate must not be older than 5 years. If you have protective security guard training through the Swedish Armed Forces without basic military training, you need to complete a shortened protective security guard training to work as a civil protective security guard.
