Professional Galaxy is looking for a Fire Safety Engineer on behalf of our client.

We are now seeking a Fire Safety Engineer where you will work in one or more exciting development and support projects with a central role and goal of delivering safe systems and vehicles for the customer's end users.

You will perform tasks in areas such as holistic fire protection, passive and active fire protection measures, design of fire prevention solutions, and material selection.

The role includes, among other things, identifying, analyzing, and minimizing fire risks at an early stage of development to prevent potential accidents causing harm to people and property.

You will be part of a team of Fire and Systems Safety Engineers with a strong interest in safety and commitment to developing the department and its capabilities. Internally, you will have close collaboration with both systems engineers, designers, and other interdisciplinary disciplines, as well as externally through contact with suppliers and customers to ensure a safe end product.

Details -Location: Karlskrona, on-site. The position includes business travel, mainly within Sweden. -We conduct ongoing selection. -Start date is indicative. -Travel, both within Sweden and abroad, may occur. -The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions with security classification requirements, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.

Main responsibilities -Planning and management of fire protection technical design and fire safety work in development projects -Interpretation and application of relevant regulatory requirements -Formulation and allocation of fire safety requirements on technical systems to reduce or eliminate risk -Review and risk analysis of design solutions in complex systems at an early stage of development to identify fire safety risks in systems, construction, and integration -Contact with national and international customers in projects to present analyses, safety risks, and results of fire safety work -Represent the area of fire safety in projects and be leading and advisory in fire safety issues regarding our vehicle products -Preparation of fire protection technical documentation

Requirements -Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, with a focus on fire or risk -Experience in risk management and risk assessment -Good analytical skills -Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious -Experience working with fire safety solutions within relevant industries or operations, such as shipbuilding, automotive, aviation, nuclear power, or oil and gas industries
