Under the Outpatient Clinic, you will find all planned specialist clinics as well as a mobile team, and we consist of approximately 40 employees.

We are a small hospital in northern Värmland with a big heart and commitment to our patients and staff, where all units and partners are an important part of the hub to ensure smooth and safe operations for those who visit us.

Good cooperation between units, short decision-making paths, and close contact with the management group are characteristics of our workplace. We care about the health and well-being of our staff, and we have access to our own staff gym and a personal trainer.

Your Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include, among other things, nutritional assessment and treatment of inpatients on our three wards, i.e., within surgery, medicine, and orthopedics. You will also meet patients referred to the outpatient clinic, conduct group education, telephone consultations, and remote visits. As a dietitian, you serve as a knowledge resource for other healthcare staff and participate in teamwork regarding various patient groups.

The work is highly varied and autonomous, and you have great opportunities to influence how you structure your day. Torsby Hospital is the only hospital in Värmland that performs bariatric surgery, where the dietitian plays a major role in the process before and after surgery.

The bariatric department is a team consisting of nurses, dietitians, and surgeons. At Torsby Hospital, two additional dietitians work, giving you the opportunity to consult with colleagues if needed. We offer you an individually tailored introduction and provide a fun and rewarding job. Working hours are during daytime, Monday–Friday.

Your Knowledge and Competencies

We are looking for you who are a licensed dietitian. Experience in the profession is considered an advantage.

To thrive in this role, you must appreciate working independently and be able to structure and carry out your tasks efficiently. You see opportunities in change and can adapt to changing circumstances. We also place great emphasis on your teamwork skills, as teamwork constitutes a large part of the job.
