One of the Army Staff's focus areas is building the new Army. An army that focuses on the Army's operational capability and, in this regard, builds new as well as restructures existing units. Concurrently, the Army Staff leads units both nationally and internationally. The Army Staff develops and produces combat units within the Army as well as subordinate organizational units consisting of units and schools.
The above, combined with the continued establishment of the Army Staff as a cohesive and unifying force, means that the tasks are highly varied, developmental, and dynamic.
Information about the position
The Army Staff is an independent organizational unit within the Swedish Armed Forces, where the Technical and Maintenance Office Land (TVK Mark) is included as a division in the Armament Unit. TVK Mark is responsible for materiel maintenance, materiel utilization, and materiel maintenance economics within the Swedish Armed Forces, as well as ensuring that materiel is maintained in accordance with system objectives.
The Tracked Vehicle Section consists of eight employees located in Boden, Enköping, and Östersund and is part of the Boden/Umeå section within the Army Staff, where we are approximately 25 employees with broad technical competence and operations in several locations in the country.
The position offers varied tasks with independent responsibility and requires both independence and good teamwork skills. You work closely with colleagues within the Tracked Vehicle Section as well as in collaboration with other system sections, units, and external actors.
Tasks
As a Technical Design Leader for Tracked Vehicles (TDL BV), you work to ensure that the Swedish Armed Forces' tracked vehicle systems (Bv 206, 208, 309, and 410 with variants) have the correct technical configuration throughout their lifespan. In this role, you participate in decisions regarding maintenance measures and contribute to the development and management of the systems in a safe and efficient manner.
