About the position

Personal assistance is a support measure under the LSS Act (Act concerning Support and Service for Certain Functionally Impaired Persons). In your role as a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everyday occurrences and basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the client's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.

The client is a 12-year-old boy who lives with his parents and siblings in Härnösand. He has a motor disability and an intellectual disability. He also has epilepsy. The boy does not have verbal language, so it is of utmost importance that you, as an assistant, are attuned to his body language and expressions. You will actively interpret his communication and support his development of active engagement. You will become an important part of a secure family environment where your presence creates stability and adds value to everyday life.

Who are you?

The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and identify what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is crucial that there is good personal chemistry between you and the client.

Requirements for the position:

  • Good knowledge of Swedish
  • B driver's license and access to your own car

Merits for the position:

  • Experience in similar work or in a school setting
  • Experience working with alternative communication, e.g., TAKK (Picture Exchange Communication System)
  • Experience working with children/young people
  • Experience with epilepsy

Personal suitability will be given great weight.

Working hours, employment percentage, and salary

The current form of employment is "For the duration of the assistance assignment". We are currently looking for three new colleagues for the following positions:

Position 1: 37.5% (15 hours/week). Start date: Immediately.

Position 2: 30% (12 hours/week). Start date: Immediately.

Position 3: 20% (8 hours/week). Start date: August 1st.

The working hours are the same for all three positions:

14:30–20:00 on weekdays and 10:00–18:00 on weekends.

Fixed hourly wage by agreement, and other benefits are paid according to the collective agreement.
