ABOUT THE POSITION

We at Kura Omsorg are looking for several personal assistants for our client in Örnsköldsvik on a full-time basis. Working hours vary between day, evening, and awake night shifts during June, July, and August. Work is performed on both weekdays and weekends. Your specific working hours will be agreed upon with the responsible manager.

Start date is by agreement, and we would prefer if you could start training immediately.

About the client

The client is a 15-year-old girl with a mild intellectual disability and autism. She uses a wheelchair, a walking frame, communication aids, and breathing support during sleep in the form of CPAP. As an assistant in this assignment, you will be present in both school and home environments and accompany the client to planned activities.

As a personal assistant, you will provide help where the disability creates limitations, including transfers, personal hygiene, mealtimes, communication, play, and exercise.

The client is a happy and social girl who enjoys listening to music, watching YouTube, and going to town. There are fur-bearing animals in the home.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and can analyze the needs of other individuals. We prefer that you have previous experience working with children, but this is not a requirement. Furthermore, you should be perceptive, proactive, solution-focused, and engaged. We prefer that you are calm, secure, and resourceful, as personal suitability is highly valued. We also prefer that you have experience with low-arousal approaches, as interaction is of great importance. In return, you are offered stimulating and meaningful work in a family-like work environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• No fur animal allergies
• Chlorine tolerance/ability to swim

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply meaning that the register check will include both an extract from the criminal record and an extract from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so the order should be placed well in advance.
