Job Responsibilities

As a personal assistant, your primary task is to provide support and care to the person entitled to assistance, based on their individual assistance decision and established implementation plan. Documentation is carried out in the social care journal. The tasks are performed with sensitivity and respect, prioritizing the individual's influence, participation, and self-determination.

The duties of a personal assistant vary and are carried out in the individual's home. Examples of tasks include personal care, mobility assistance, and activities inside and outside the home to promote personal development.

The position is full-time (100%). It involves a fixed schedule covering daytime, evenings, and work every third weekend. The workplace is located in Gideå with a client requiring full-time assistance, meaning there is double staffing at all times. There are pets in the home, so it is important not to be allergic. Since full-time work is the norm in the municipality, you may occasionally be scheduled with other clients.

Qualifications

We are looking for trained assistant nurses or individuals with other education or experience that the employer deems sufficient. We prefer candidates with further education or a focus on disability support, particularly in low-arousal approaches. Experience working in care and social services is an advantage.

It is important that you enjoy working with people, are flexible, and open to new ideas and methods tailored to the client's needs and wishes.

You should be calm, sensitive, and have good skills in building and maintaining positive relationships with the client, their relatives, and other professionals.

You must have good proficiency in speaking and understanding Swedish, as well as the ability to express yourself in writing. Personal suitability for the role is highly valued.

A valid Category B driver's license is required.

Some positions in our municipality are classified for security reasons, so a security clearance may be required. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
