Haldex is now looking for an experienced and business-driven Regional Category Manager who wants to take strategic responsibility for important material categories within the EMEA region.
In this role, you will hold a central position where you work closely with production, product management, development, and suppliers to ensure a competitive, sustainable, and robust supplier base. You will have the opportunity to influence business-critical decisions, drive strategic initiatives, and contribute to the company's long-term development.
About the role
As Regional Category Manager, you are responsible for developing and implementing category strategies that strengthen the company's competitiveness and ensure an efficient supply chain.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing regional category strategies
- Driving strategic sourcing and leading supplier negotiations
- Identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives
- Building and developing long-term relationships with strategic suppliers
- Working proactively with risk management and delivery security
- Monitoring market developments and identifying business opportunities
- Collaborating closely with colleagues in production, product management, and product development
- Preparing analyses, decision support, and recommendations for management and operations
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is analytical, business-minded, and has strong self-drive. You thrive on taking responsibility, creating results, and building good relationships both internally and externally.
To succeed in this role, we see that you have:
- At least 7–10 years of experience in strategic purchasing, sourcing, or category management
- An academic degree in Industrial Economics, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or equivalent
- Experience from the automotive industry is advantageous, but experience from other manufacturing industries is also relevant
- Good understanding of production, manufacturing processes, and supply chains
- Documented experience in negotiations and supplier development
- Experience with cost analyses and financial follow-up
- Very good skills in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is advantageous
- Fluent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
