Do you want to work in a dynamic and international environment where you play a key role in the supply chain?
We are currently looking for an Operational Buyer for an exciting consulting assignment with a leading industrial company. Here you will have the opportunity to combine operational purchasing with supplier development, improvement work, and close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
About the RoleAs an Operational Buyer, you are responsible for ensuring the availability of critical components and materials from a global supplier base to internal operations. You work based on established supplier agreements and have a clear focus on delivery precision, quality, and efficiency in the supply chain.
The role involves many contact points and requires a proactive approach where you follow up on orders, handle deviations, and ensure that deliveries take place as planned. You work closely with suppliers, internal customers, and other functions to create the best possible conditions for the business.
You will also contribute to the development of purchasing and logistics processes and drive improvement initiatives within your area of responsibility.
ResponsibilitiesHandle purchase orders and invoices.
Ensure and follow up on deliveries from suppliers.
Drive and lead supplier meetings related to ongoing deliveries.
Work with supplier development and relationship building.
Material planning and coordination of material flows.
Communicate status, risks, and deviations to internal and external stakeholders.
Identify and drive improvement and development initiatives.
Participate in the department's joint development work.
Has post-secondary education in purchasing, logistics, economics, industrial engineering, or a corresponding field.
Is communicative, proactive, and has an easy time building good collaborations.
Has a strong delivery focus and understands the importance of quality and delivery security.
Thrives in an environment with high tempo and varying workload.
Works in a structured and solution-oriented manner when facing deviations and challenges.
Has good analytical skills and can see the connections between short-term and long-term effects.
Is curious, development-oriented, and dares to challenge existing ways of working.
Sees continuous improvement work as a natural part of everyday life.
Communicates fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
Experience in operational purchasing within manufacturing industry.
Knowledge in material control and logistics processes.
Experience working in SAP.
Very good skills in Excel.
Experience in supplier management and delivery follow-up.
