We are now looking for you who want to work as a Personal Assistant with us in Vara Municipality. We are approximately 55 employees working with personal assistance in the user's own home. We provide personal assistance to all groups of people and support individuals of all ages.

Your role

As a Personal Assistant, you are an important support in the daily life of a person with a disability. You are close to the user and contribute to creating safety, participation, and structure in everyday life.

This involves providing support in communication, household chores, personal hygiene, and meal preparation. You may also provide support in social contacts, activities, and other daily situations based on the individual's needs. We work in teams based on implementation plans and provide support to users in many areas of life. The work requires you to be sensitive, respectful, and confident in your interactions with others.

Working hours are scheduled and include days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Your knowledge and experience

We are looking for you who have:

• Education from the nursing program, child and youth program, or education assessed as equivalent by the employer.
• Category B driver's license.
• Good computer skills.
• Access to BankID.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Pedagogical education and/or experience with people who need special support.
• Experience in pedagogical work and a pedagogical approach.

You work with a clear focus both for the individual and for the operation as a whole. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

You need to be able to show an extract from the police criminal record (type: Work in the home with elderly and people with disabilities). You also need to be able to show a passport/valid ID card. A driver's license can be shown together with a personal certificate obtained from skatteverket.se using Bank-ID; this can be done at a booked interview.
