Estrad Alingsås is one of West Sweden's most central meeting places – strategically located in the heart of Alingsås, right next to the train station and close to hotels, restaurants, and the pulse of the city center. Our modern facility offers flexible meeting and event spaces, with capacity for everything from small meetings to larger conferences, trade shows, and cultural events. We are the largest conference and event operator in Alingsås and the surrounding area, with an arena that seats up to 1,500 people, as well as several smaller rooms for customized setups. The premises are equipped with professional technology, adaptable furniture, and a high level of service – making it easy to conduct efficient and high-quality events.

Job Description

We are looking for conference hosts who want to help create a professional, safe, and welcoming experience for Estrad's guests. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that conferences and meetings start smoothly and receive excellent hospitality throughout the event. To be eligible for this role, you must have another employment of at least 50%. Your responsibilities include:

• Preparing conference rooms for the day's events by creating a welcoming environment and ensuring the room is in order.
• Greeting and welcoming guests, bookers, and speakers upon arrival.
• Showing guests and assisting with basic conference technology, such as microphones, presentations, and screen setup.
• Being available during the event for questions, service, and practical support.
• Coordinating practical aspects regarding coffee breaks and meals, and ensuring the conference proceeds according to plan.
• Responsible for closing down the rooms after the event has ended by turning off technology, powering down, and ensuring everything is in order before leaving.

The position is hourly-based with monthly scheduling. The work is primarily during the high season, with some flexibility and the possibility of shifts with short notice.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a natural service mindset who thrives in an independent and varied role where hospitality and guest experience are the focus. To fit the role, we see that you:

• Have experience from service, conferences, hotels, events, or similar operations (meritorious).
• Are responsible, self-starting, and structured.
• Have genuine hospitality and a professional, welcoming attitude.
• Are solution-oriented and enjoy helping guests and handling questions that arise during the day.
• Feel confident handling basic conference technology, such as microphones, presentations, and screens.
• Communicate well in Swedish and preferably also in English.
