As a Mechanical Designer, you will become part of the technical organization where innovation, quality, and continuous improvement are the focus. The role offers a combination of design, problem-solving, and project work in a business where ideas can quickly be turned into practical solutions.
You are employed as a consultant by Academic Work and work on behalf of Nord-Lock. The assignment is long-term, and for the right person, there are good opportunities for continued development within the company.

Responsibilities
In the role of Mechanical Designer, you work with the development and improvement of production equipment, tools, and technical solutions for Nord-Lock's manufacturing. You are part of a cross-functional team together with project managers, product specialists, and automation engineers, driving the design work from idea to finished solution.
You will primarily:
- Work on machine and production projects from requirement specification to commissioning
- Design and develop machine components and production equipment
- Create technical drawings and design documentation
- Participate in troubleshooting, analysis, and improvement work in production
- Provide technical support and guidance to operators and production teams
- Handle technical documentation and project-related materials
- Contribute innovative solutions in cross-functional project teams
We are looking for you who
- Have a university degree or civil engineer degree in mechanical engineering or another relevant technical education
- Have good knowledge of CAD
- Have a strong technical interest and enjoy solving complex problems
- Have good knowledge of Swedish and English, as this is required in daily work
It is an advantage if you have
- Previous experience in machine design
- Experience working in the manufacturing industry
