The municipality's vision is to reach 35,000 inhabitants by 2035. Stenungsund Municipality is part of the Gothenburg Region Municipal Association, which serves as a forum for cooperation and knowledge exchange, as well as in several other inter-municipal collaborations.
The Individual and Family Care (IFO) department consists of both authority functions and service delivery, meeting residents who need support in various ways. Within IFO, we have units such as Children and Youth, Foster Care, Family Law, Family Support, Social Assistance, Adults, LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), Social Psychiatry, Elderly Care Assistance, and Administration.
The Family Law unit falls under the department for Foster Care, Family Law, and Administration. We are looking for a new Family Law Secretary to join the group, as one of our colleagues is moving on to other tasks. The Family Law group is a stable team consisting of seven people, including one experienced team leader. Family Law services are provided in collaboration between the municipalities of Stenungsund, Tjörn, and Orust.
The workplace is centrally located in Stenungsund and is easily accessible by public transport from Gothenburg and Uddevalla. There is a wide range of shopping and lunch restaurants near the municipal building, and from outside the office window, you can see the sea!

RESPONSIBILITIES
Your main responsibilities as a Family Law Secretary will include conducting cooperation meetings, information meetings, carrying out investigations, providing opinions, and drawing up agreements regarding custody, residence, and contact. You will also handle contact support according to the Parental Code and investigate adoption cases. Additionally, you will process name and passport cases, conduct advice and support meetings, and carry out paternity and parenthood investigations.
The role requires you to have a good ability to build and create relationships with the families you meet, as well as good collaboration both internally and externally. We can offer you stimulating and developing work that engages and challenges you. You will join a group of experienced colleagues who have worked extensively with family law issues. We enjoy working together and are considerate of each other. The group has an open climate where no questions are too difficult to discuss. To promote quality and legal certainty, we usually work in pairs on our cases. The group has external supervision as well as regular method supervision. QUALIFICATIONS
You, as an applicant, should have a degree in Social Work and preferably experience in authority work within the area of social child care. It is meritorious if you have experience working with family law issues. We are looking for someone with knowledge of current legislation and good command of the Swedish language. You should enjoy expressing yourself both verbally and in writing, as a large part of the work involves writing documents for court.
We are looking for someone who is confident in themselves and their professional role and has good collaboration skills. We value qualities such as lack of pretension, flexibility, and humility. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. As a person, you need to be calm and secure, having achieved both personal and professional maturity. Good knowledge of child development is desirable, as well as good structure, a high sense of responsibility, and professional handling. A valid driver's license (Category B) is a requirement.
Employment type: Permanent position.
