Social Secretary for Reception – Tranemo Municipality

The position belongs to the Authority Function of the Care Section, where all authority exercises within social services are located. The operations consist of the various units: Children & Youth, Adults, Family Group (family law and foster homes), Financial Assistance, Disability, and Elderly Care. The reception function is currently staffed by a social secretary from Children & Youth and a social secretary from Adults, and the reception is responsible for cases within these units.
On the unit, we have close cooperation with each other, and the helpfulness between the different units is great. We share a workplace, which simplifies cooperation regardless of the target group you work with. This also means that the opportunity to gain knowledge in other areas increases, and there are great opportunities for professional development. Job Responsibilities
As a social secretary in our reception, you work together with a colleague to handle reports/applications primarily concerning children and young people aged 0–20 years and their parents. Your tasks include tripartite meetings, reporting meetings, advisory phone calls with e.g., schools/preschools, phone contact with other authorities, etc. You are often the first point of contact with social services and are the one making assessments on where the case should be handled, which means it is a great advantage if you have broad and long experience in social work.
We work according to BBiC and are currently undergoing internal training in the risk assessment method iRisk. There is a high degree of flexibility in the work group where experience, competence, and individual wishes are taken into account. You will have daily support from colleagues, Senior Social Secretary, and Unit Manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Social Work Degree (Social Worker)
- Category B Driver's License

Merits include experience with authority exercises according to the Social Services Act, LUL (Act concerning Care of Young Persons), and LVM (Act for Special Care of Alcohol and Drug Addicts), as well as previous work with the target group Children & Youth, but also other areas within Individual and Family Care.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start: ASAP or as agreed.
Working hours: Daytime.
Interviews will take place during week 31. Day and time will be determined after the application period.
