The Role of Nurse

The work is varied and stimulating, where no two days are alike. As a nurse, you will develop through multifaceted tasks inherent in broad surgical emergency care.

We work in a cross-professional manner and strive to provide the patient with the highest quality of care. Your work takes place in close collaboration with other professions. As a nurse, the work involves planning, leading, and organizing nursing care together with the patient and other professionals.

Surgical Ward G and H is a dynamic workplace with a fast pace and a good mix of new nurses and experienced staff in surgical care and nursing. We consciously work to create the best possible conditions for you through supervision and continuous competence development.

In Värnamo, there are two inpatient care units with different focuses on surgical specialties. There is also a surgical/endoscopy clinic where patients are examined and treated within upper/lower gastroenterology, general surgery, abdominal and breast plastic surgery, as well as endocrinology. We also have a stoma clinic.

The Surgical Clinic is a county clinic with operations in both Jönköping, Eksjö, and Värnamo. Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with a genuine interest in people and who constantly keeps the patient in focus. We would like you to have previous experience working in a hospital, but this is not a requirement.

If you are new to your professional role, we have the opportunity to offer you an experienced clinical ward mentor in surgery. This nurse acts as a support for both new and established employees in daily operations, which means daily supervision and working to create a structure for knowledge transfer, patient safety, and team development on the wards.

You thrive in a workplace where you have the opportunity to work with mixed tasks at a varied pace. Therefore, it is important to us that you are a flexible person with a pleasant demeanor and have a good ability to structure your work. We place great emphasis on qualities such as teamwork and flexibility. For us, professional attitude, responsibility, good treatment, and patient safety are always current and prioritized issues.
