Your Role

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in production planning at both tactical and strategic levels, who possesses the ability to see the big picture to secure the flow throughout the entire value chain. You work proactively and identify cause-and-effect relationships, enabling you to create the right conditions for us to meet our production commitments.

You will become part of Fighter Production within Saab’s Business Area Aeronautics, specifically within the Management Office, which is responsible for the production’s needs regarding costing, customer order handling, as well as strategic, tactical, and operational planning.

The Production Planning section collaborates closely with workshop managers and provides planning support throughout the entire production chain, from component level to final assembly. In this role, you will work with resource and capacity planning, buffer management, production follow-up, and provide support for production technical issues. In addition to production-oriented planning, you are responsible for optimizing inventory control and for planning and parameter settings for the Aeronautics article portfolio. In your work, you balance service levels, inventory turnover, total costs, and the workshop’s prerequisites – all vital factors for efficient and sustainable production.

As part of Production Planning, you will have the opportunity to optimize, streamline, and improve tomorrow’s planning setup for Fighter Production and Aeronautics.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a university-level technical or economic education, or equivalent documented knowledge, along with a few years of relevant work experience in planning, logistics, or inventory control. You are self-motivated, driven, and structured, with strong analytical skills that allow you to quickly identify connections and effects in various processes.

• You find it easy to collaborate both in groups and with different internal functions.
• You have the ability to see the big picture and understand your tasks in a broader context.
• You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

You thrive in an environment where continuous improvement and efficiency are a natural part of everyday life, and you enjoy finding solutions to emerging problems. Additionally, you are experienced in working with business systems such as IFS/ERP and the Office suite. Experience from production and/or from Gripen operations is advantageous.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
