Sopranvägen Group Home

Sopranvägen Group Home is located in the nature-rich area of Viksjö, with good bus connections to Jakobsberg station. There is space for six people, five of whom live here today. The people living with us have significant and varied support needs, making the work both meaningful and varied. Some have speech, while others communicate primarily through symbols or other alternative methods.

We actively work with physical training and physiotherapy, and every week we engage in activities that promote movement and participation – for example, bathing and visits to Lagunen, an experience center focused on the joy of movement. All our residents use wheelchairs and require significant physical support, which means we work closely together as a team.

The work group consists of dedicated and experienced employees who collaborate with warmth, humor, and professionalism. Together, we create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for those who live here.

About the role

As a residential support worker, you base your work on the residents' individual needs and wishes, providing support in daily life from a pedagogical approach. Together with other employees, you work towards the goal of making the day meaningful and content-rich. You support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, social contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and to create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your duties also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, weekends, and on-call sleeping shifts.

You have a team leader or group manager close by who spends part of their time working in the operations. This can also be a future career opportunity for you.

Your experience and knowledge

You have a high school education in care and nursing or another equivalent education. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the target group. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important thing. If you have the right qualities, we will give you support and the opportunity to grow.

You have a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and are responsible. You enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues, and you always have the best interests of our users as your starting point in everything you do.
