Villa Hovstallet is a specialized housing facility for the elderly located centrally in Industristaden, Kungsängen, within walking distance of Uppsala's city center and travel hub.

We are now looking for a full-time nurse, permanent position (probationary period applies).

About the role

You are the hub for the residents' health and medical care efforts, working to provide quality of life. You are responsible for ensuring medical orders are followed. You regularly conduct risk assessments and follow-ups to ensure high quality in operations.

Collaboration and support

You are part of a team with care staff, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. An important role for you is to coach and educate the care staff so that together you can give each resident the best possible life. In this role, you work closely with the facility's group managers who are responsible for the care staff. Our group managers also coach and work together with the teams in daily operations.

We invest in leadership development for you as a nurse. A course we can offer you is "Leading without being a manager".

Getting to know the residents

Understanding the residents' wishes and noticing small changes in their health and medical conditions are often crucial for correct assessments and decisions.

Clear routines

To create security and clarity for you as a nurse, there is extensive support in the form of practical and easy-to-implement routines, guidelines, and checklists. Our quality management system is called Qualimax and is industry-leading.

As a new nurse with us, you will participate in our digital induction program together with your mentor to ensure you receive a clear introduction with the goal of quickly getting into the work and our routines.

About Villa Hovstallet

Villa Hovstallet is centrally located in Uppsala, close to nature, including the city park, as well as services.

We offer 72 apartments distributed over four floors, three of which are dementia-oriented and one somatic. You will be one of 4 nurses working in the facility.

Your experience and knowledge

You are a registered nurse, and we would appreciate it if you have worked a few years in elderly care. Our residents are often multi-morbid, which requires you to have broad knowledge of various diseases and conditions, as well as an interest in the aging human being. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are important.
