What are my responsibilities? ⚡👷‍♀️⚒️The role primarily involves customer-facing work on the railway. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and fixing both major and minor faults in communication systems. You will receive work orders from the team's production planner or project engineer.

In this role, you will be involved in both emergency fault resolution and planned upgrades in the rail area. We provide 24/7 service to our customers, where it is crucial that we perform quickly, safely, and professionally.

In this role, you will:

• Maintain critical infrastructure both independently and as part of a team
• Troubleshoot and repair
• Service and replace copper and fiber optic cables
• Provide high-quality service to customers

As a technician, you will have many different contacts, both with our production planner who distributes and assigns work to available technicians, and with customers when necessary. Sometimes you will need to ensure you procure what is needed to solve the customer's problem, making communication key.

You will report your hours daily via phone or computer and provide ongoing updates during and after completed work. Naturally, you maintain close dialogue with our production planner and our customers so they are kept up to date on how the work is progressing.

The position may involve call-outs outside of regular working hours, but this is always done in consultation with our central SPOC function. We have an obligation to offer our customers 24/7 service, while simultaneously ensuring that your work situation works based on your conditions and that your life outside of work balances out.

You will primarily work in Umeå but travel may occur as we always help each other in the team when needed.

To succeed in this role, you need:

• A completed upper secondary education
• A few years of experience working in a railway environment
• Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written
• A Class B driver's license for manual transmission
• A flexible work approach as the workday may need to be reprioritized
• Highly meritorious: experience with copper & fiber
