Your Role

We are looking for you who have the qualifications and experience to teach Mathematics and Natural Sciences for grades 4-6. Additional qualifications in one or more teaching subjects are meritorious. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in your subjects based on the curriculum. You adapt the teaching to the students' needs, interests, and prerequisites, and work with leadership and stimulation in the classroom. You monitor, assess, and document students' knowledge development. Creating a peaceful study environment and a sense of security is a natural part of the role.

The role includes mentorship, and you are responsible for building trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You participate in subject groups and are part of a middle school team consisting of teachers and support staff. You collaborate regarding students, planning, assessment, pedagogical development work, and systematic quality work. There is room to influence and develop teaching based on interest, knowledge, and experience.

Your Experience

For this position, you must have:

• Teacher certification with subject eligibility for grades 4-6 in Mathematics and Natural Sciences
• At least three years of experience working as a teacher in middle school
• Good digital competence with experience in using digital pedagogical tools
• Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Teacher certification with subject eligibility for grades 4-6 in one or more other teaching subjects
• Experience in mentorship
• Experience working with students in need of extra adjustments and special support

You have good pedagogical insight and the ability to adapt teaching to students' different needs and prerequisites. You plan, implement, and follow up on your tasks and teaching in a structured and clear manner, both in the short and long term. We look for someone who has the willingness and ability to collaborate, communicate, and build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are a secure, calm, and stable person who handles stress and changes with flexibility and maintained calm. You adapt easily to changed circumstances and based on the needs of the operations and students.

What We Offer

Järla School is an F-6 school with approximately 730 students located in central Nacka with good transport links. Nacka Music Classes are also available for grades 4-6. We actively work to create a holistic sense of knowledge and security from preschool class to grade 6. We receive high results in perceived security from both students and guardians. We are proud of our developed and active outdoor and recess activities, driven full-time by two recess coordinators.
