Our Operations

The maxillofacial section, with 40 employees, covers not only maxillofacial surgery, jaw and facial radiology, orthodontics, and orofacial medicine, but also has its own sterile and operating department and CBCT radiology. The section conducts highly active research in collaboration with Uppsala University and several international academic and industrial partners.

Our operations are quality certified according to SS-EN 15224 and ISO 9001. Within the department of plastic surgery and maxillofacial surgery, a large part of the hospital's highly specialized national and regional care is provided, as well as the county's two national healthcare assignments, all in close collaboration between different specialties.

Your Role

Assisting with surgeries, treatments, and investigations. Intraoral radiography, panoramic radiography, and patient administrative work are also included in the duties.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained dental nurse with relevant work experience. You have previously worked as a dental nurse and feel confident in the role. With interest and experience in administration and clinical work. You have knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to Swedish upper secondary school or Swedish C1 in both speech and writing.

We view it positively if you have experience working in surgery and further education in maxillofacial operative care for dental nurses (15 credits). You have experience working in T4 and Cosmic.

Great importance is placed on personal qualities where we want you to be independent, structured, and have good teamwork skills, as teamwork – even together with other medical specialties – occurs daily. You are stable, calm, and controlled even in pressurized situations, with the ability to focus on the right things. You are mature, have good self-awareness, and make well-founded assessments by weighing complex information and prioritizing responsibly. At the same time, you are aware of your own limitations and have a great interest in continuous development. Good knowledge of Swedish is an absolute prerequisite.
