The Community Development Administration includes the departments of Technology and Service, Culture and Leisure, the Public Health Unit, and the Building and Environment department, which is currently being established. Currently, approximately 90 employees work in the Community Development Administration.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a meal assistant with a great passion for food and service, for a temporary position. You will be placed at the Sörgården preschool in Lanna. The assignment involves spreading your joy of food to all our important guests, consisting of children and educators.

The job responsibilities as a meal assistant include:

• working to ensure that the served food maintains high quality according to the Swedish Food Agency's guidelines "Good Food in Preschools".
• preparing salads
• planning
• ordering
• dishwashing
• other common kitchen tasks.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• have experience in large-scale catering, hotels and restaurants, or equivalent documented experience that the employer considers relevant for the assignment
• have knowledge of self-control, food hygiene, and special diets
• can communicate well in Swedish, as it is of utmost importance that the right guest receives the right food when it comes to various special diets.

It is meritorious if you have experience with special diets for children. It is desirable that you have experience from both the private restaurant industry as well as public meals.

As a person, you are sensitive and solution-focused. You are careful, flexible, and service-oriented. You can collaborate as well as work independently. You think it is important to have climate-smart and sustainable food, and can communicate your knowledge and joy of food. You see the importance of your work for the whole of the operation. For us, it is important that you put the guest in focus, contribute to job satisfaction, a good work environment, and have a positive and professional attitude towards those you meet in your work.
