About Us

Svenska Kyrkans Bostäder i Örebro AB owns and manages Laurentiusgården, senior housing in northern Örebro, as well as Sankta Katarina student housing and the intergenerational housing Almby Kyrkpark. Our residences offer great opportunities for community through a wide range of social activities. We are now looking for a Cook/House Manager for Laurentiusgården. On weekdays, residents are offered lunch service, which is a significant part of our operations with a strong focus on dining together.

The Role

We are looking for someone who loves cooking, has high social competence, and the ability to see and meet people! You will be part of a team of three employees plus the CEO. The main tasks of the Cook/House Manager are to be responsible for the kitchen, plan, and prepare lunches for our guests. On average, this involves serving around 40+ lunches daily. You handle purchasing, cook from scratch, and manage the daily meal service. The operation focuses on organic and locally produced ingredients. The role also includes house manager duties such as being available for joint activities, keeping the premises tidy, and occasionally covering for each other in the team. The role involves daily contact with residents to provide help and support with various questions. As a team, we occasionally participate in and organize larger events such as Christmas lunches and BBQ evenings.

About You

As a person, you are stable and self-reliant, with the ability to structure your work efficiently. You have good teamwork skills and enjoy working with others. You are flexible and service-oriented with an interest in elderly people.

You have previous experience cooking for larger groups, for example in restaurant kitchens, and you can prepare nutritious, varied, and well-cooked food with a focus on organic and locally produced ingredients, as well as baking. You have knowledge of food hygiene and regulatory requirements related to large-scale kitchens. Training in cooking, such as a chef's education, is an advantage.

Scope

The position is full-time (100%) and permanent. Start date is by agreement.
