About the RoleYou step into a central role where technology and procurement meet. In a business with high demands for quality, traceability, and structure, you ensure that materials, item data, and technical documentation are in place so that project and procurement flows run smoothly.
You work closely with buyers, designers, project managers, engineers, material planners, and suppliers. Your task is to bring order to complex information and provide technical support that makes it easier to make the right purchasing decisions. This role suits you if you like details, want to contribute to efficient flows, and thrive in an environment where technology and business meet.
Responsibilities- Create and administer new procurement items in the material catalog.
- Ensure that mandatory attributes and item data are registered correctly so that items become purchasable.
- Generate purchase requisitions based on needs from systems and projects.
- Consolidate purchases in a cost-effective way and contribute to well-functioning material flows.
- Support other functions in the work with purchase requisitions and material-related questions.
- Procure materials for projects with long-term delivery needs and work with forecast purchasing.
- Act as technical support to buyers in dialogue with suppliers.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, engineers, and material planners.
- 3–8 years of relevant work experience in technical procurement preparation, technical purchasing, material preparation, or a similar field.
- Very good ability to work with technical information and item data.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience working systematically in business or material management systems.
- Ability to undergo and pass a security clearance (requires Swedish citizenship; dual citizenship is not accepted).
- Experience in spare parts procurement from both a technical and purchasing perspective.
- Knowledge of different material types and technical components.
- Relevant technical or procurement-related education.
- Experience from manufacturing industry, energy, defense, or process industry.
- Analytical skills and experience handling large amounts of information.
- Permanent employment at Avaron AB.
