Do you want a role where your skills make a real difference? As a Scheduler within the Mälarbanan program, you will hold a central position in one of Sweden's largest infrastructure projects. Here, you combine strategic planning with close collaboration and contribute to driving a socially important program forward, while becoming part of an experienced team that values knowledge sharing and community.
ResponsibilitiesMälarbanan is an important part of the railway network, connecting Örebro, Västerås, and Enköping with Stockholm. It is also part of Stockholm's local commuter rail network. The program covers a railway section of approximately 20 kilometers between Tomteboda and Kallhäll in northwestern Stockholm and is one of the country's busiest.
In the role of Scheduler within the Mälarbanan program, you play a central function in ensuring that the program's schedules are current, realistic, and well-founded. You serve as a qualified support in scheduling matters and are responsible for creating, coordinating, and monitoring the program's schedules. The work includes scenario analysis, production scheduling, as well as ongoing follow-up and reporting of milestones and deliveries. You also participate in reviews related to schedules and collaborate closely with project management and the program's other schedulers to create good conditions for progress and goal achievement. The role entails independent responsibility for ensuring that the program's schedules are updated and aligned with operational needs.
You will become a welcome colleague to our unit, which consists of engaged and knowledgeable colleagues who together possess broad experience and competence. Here, we value collaboration and open knowledge exchange, where we support each other in both everyday matters and more complex challenges. You will work in close cooperation with the unit manager, group managers, project managers, project engineers, and other key personnel within the operation. With your experience, we see that you contribute with both independent drive and a strong team spirit, while generously sharing your knowledge and experiences with the team.
I am your manager, Malin Öberg. For me, it is important that we work together, look at our entire delivery, and work towards the same goal. It should be fun to work here, and there should be opportunities for development.
QualificationsWho are you?
To succeed in the role, you have very good communication skills and can convey your message in a clear and pedagogical manner. You create understanding of the schedule's importance and ensure that different stakeholders understand both their contribution and how their work affects the whole. You work in a structured manner and have an easy time seeing the big picture, identifying dependencies, and understanding how different choices affect the program's progress. With strong analytical problem-solving skills, you can evaluate different action alternatives and draw well-founded conclusions.
The role involves many internal and external contacts, which requires good collaboration skills. You are receptive, ask relevant questions, and have the ability to collect, analyze, and consolidate information from different operations to create consensus and good conditions for the program's planning and implementation.
