Your role

You will become part of an experienced, specialized team within Maintenance Design, working at the intersection of advanced technology and structured information management. Our focus is on the JAS 39 Gripen – one of the world's most sophisticated fighter aircraft platforms.

In this role, you are responsible for developing, structuring, and quality-assuring technical publications and orders that support modifications, maintenance, inspections, and the introduction of new functionality. You collaborate with engineers, systems specialists, and the maintenance organization to translate complex technical data into clear, accurate, and usable documentation.

The work spans several technical domains – from mechanical components and electrical systems to avionics and software-based functions. Assignments vary in complexity, ranging from detailed inspection procedures to the implementation of major system changes. This offers you a unique opportunity to build deep system understanding and work with the entire product lifecycle.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology and a drive to understand how complex systems work – really work. You are analytical, structured, and thrive on breaking down advanced technical problems into clear, logical steps.

You combine independent work with natural collaboration across technical disciplines, and have the ability to communicate technical details in a precise and effective manner.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• A technical education (e.g., in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or equivalent) or several years of experience working with technologically advanced systems
• Experience working with complex products or technical services where structure, precision, and system understanding are crucial
• Curiosity and interest in building relationships within the team and with your interfaces within the design organization
• Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Qualifying experiences

• Work with technical documentation according to established standards (e.g., S1000D)
• Experience with Simplified Technical English (STE)
• Practical experience from aviation maintenance or production, for example as an aircraft technician, in assembly, or in technical preparation
• Previous work with complex systems within the defense or aerospace industry

The position requires you to undergo and pass the applicable security clearance procedures. For roles with security classification, citizenship requirements may apply.
