We are currently recruiting a Supplier Quality Engineer - Core Components for our client Siemens Energy, a leading global player in the energy industry, for a position at their site in Finspång.

This is initially a consulting assignment of approximately 12 months through Unik Resurs, with very good prospects for extension.

Tasks and Responsibilities

A Glimpse of Your Day

As the SQE for the Turbine's Core Components, you are a natural team player with strong leadership skills. You work closely with suppliers and commodity managers with a common goal: to ensure qualified deliveries from qualified suppliers.

You will become part of a multicultural environment with various departments both locally and globally – networking is key to success.

You will drive supplier development together with our interfaces.

You will work with one or more of our purchasing areas: • Castings • Forgings • Machining • Welding • Coating. Allocation is based on your background and experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead supplier development projects.
• Manage deviations through containment, root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive actions as well as risk-reducing measures.
• Auditing.
• Qualify suppliers together with a cross-functional team, including capacity assessment and initial audits.
• Lead cross-functional teams for product and process qualifications (PPQ) according to existing processes and standards.
• Support suppliers in following the Siemens Energy Quality Management process and using relevant tools.
• Monitor supplier quality results and initiate improvement programs.
• Conduct root cause analyses and risk-reducing measures and follow up on their effectiveness.
• Plan and conduct regular supplier audits.
• Collaborate proactively with global teams and internal customers.

Your Profile

What You Bring

• Experience in machining, castings, coatings, forging, or welding is meritorious.
• Technical profile and experience in R&D or production technology is highly meritorious.
• Engineering degree (Bachelor or Master) or similar, preferably with project management experience.
• Ability to see the big picture and prioritize the right issues.
• Knowledge of quality methods such as 5 Why, FMEA, 8D, RCA, and process management.
• Experience in reporting and monitoring supplier performance.
• Result-oriented, structured, and with an understanding of commercial relationships.
• Good communication skills and very good knowledge of English. Swedish is highly meritorious.
• Some travel is included in the position.
