Your Role

Do you want to work as a Project Manager in a business with high technical depth and many areas of collaboration? We are growing within Basic Aircraft Systems and are looking for several Project Managers. The role varies in both focus and complexity, ranging from technical focus to more coordinating responsibilities, which means we are looking for both you who are at the beginning of your career and you who have solid experience.

The General Systems business area is responsible for the development and support of several critical systems, primarily in the Gripen. These systems include propulsion engine, electrical power, pneumatics, fuel, auxiliary power, hydraulics, landing gear, rescue, and pilot equipment. The area faces an exciting and challenging future – where we focus on developing our capacity long-term and ensuring future competence. We handle several parallel product development programs in different phases while simultaneously supporting the customer. The area consists of approximately 120 employees distributed across 8 sections.

We are looking for you who want to lead larger or smaller projects. The role is fun and developmental with many contact areas both internally at Saab but potentially also with our subcontractors.

Your task will be to create conditions and clarity for our engineers by primarily:

• Planning and prioritizing daily and long-term work
• Participating in the area's operational steering
• Exercising good leadership
• Coaching and motivating team members
• Evaluating progress
• Handling risks
• Resource planning
• Configuration Management (CM) handling

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• experience as a team leader or project manager
• experience from working in development projects
• an academic degree relevant to the position
• good knowledge of English and Swedish

The role also requires that you can communicate orally and in writing in both Swedish and English as we have foreign suppliers. Travel in the role may occur.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the currently applicable regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
