We are now looking for summer substitutes at Nattsländan for the summer of 2026. We need day/evening staff and night staff. You will receive introductory training with valuable knowledge about care and service.

About the role

Your task is to provide quality of life. You see every individual and have the ability to understand what each person needs. Thanks to you, those living with us can maintain their lifestyle and habits. At the same time, you develop valuable knowledge about care, service, and aging.

As a nursing assistant or care aide, you play a key role in a team with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists who work closely together.

About Nattsländan

Nattsländan's care residence has three residential units: psychiatry, dementia with special needs, and specialized housing for Huntington's disease/acquired brain injury.

At Nattsländan, you should feel at home and get to do things that interest you. Every day should feel meaningful and rich in content. When you move in with us, you, your contact person, and the responsible nurse go through your situation, needs, and wishes. The conversation forms the basis for your individual care plan, which we then work according to and follow up step by step. The operation has access to nurses and is staffed with nursing assistants and care aides every hour of the day. At Nattsländan, there are both physiotherapists and occupational therapists. If you have questions about your health, you contact your responsible nurse first.

• Dementia certification: We are a dementia-certified residence, which means that everyone working here is trained in dementia and interaction via the Dementia Academy.
• Needs-based preference schedule: We apply a needs-based preference schedule. This means that as an employee, you have the opportunity to influence your own working hours, based on needs and wishes. We create schedules for 10 weeks at a time.
• Group managers: You have a manager close to you who spends part of their time working in the operation. This can also be a career opportunity for you as a nursing assistant.
• Animals in care: Here we work with animals in care, and we have regular visits from therapy animals.
• VR technology: We have introduced VR technology at the residence, making it possible for those living here to experience different trips, adventures, or games via VR glasses. Read more about Vardaga's VR initiative here: Around the world in 40 minutes.

Your experience and knowledge

We would like you to be a trained nursing assistant/care aide or have equivalent experience working in elderly care.

Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing is a requirement, but otherwise, your CV is not the most important thing. If you have the right qualities, we will give you support and the opportunity to grow.
