Vänge School is a primary school for grades F-6, located in Vänge, one mile west of Uppsala. The school has just over 310 students and about 40 employees. There is a bike path from Uppsala to Vänge and very good bus connections. Vänge School has good teaching facilities, as well as a sports hall and library within the school premises. The teaching is characterized by knowledgeable and dedicated teachers and leisure staff, who, together with other employees, strive to ensure that all students succeed.

At Vänge School, you will work in a competent and dedicated team that cares about the students' learning and well-being, and which is characterized by a welcoming collaborative culture and strong drive. Description of Duties

At the leisure centre, you will help drive and develop an already strong operation together with competent colleagues. You plan and carry out meaningful and inspiring activities, both indoors and outdoors, and actively contribute to developing working methods and pedagogy while supporting students in their development. With your competence, you strengthen the leisure centre's compensatory mission and create a safe, stimulating, and developmental environment for all students.

This position is a temporary assignment (substitute) with a start date from 2026-08-08 to 2027-06-12.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a childcare education. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language and can express yourself well both orally and in writing in daily pedagogical work, documentation, and collaboration with colleagues and guardians. Experience working in a leisure centre or similar with children in lower primary school age is meritorious. Competence to lead and drive activities that promote creativity, movement, and outdoor life is desirable. Experience working with children and students with ADHD/Autism (NPF) is also meritorious.

As a person, you are flexible and adapt easily to changed circumstances. You see opportunities in change and can quickly adjust your working methods when the situation requires it. At the same time, you have good collaboration skills and work listeningly and smoothly with others. You communicate constructively, listen to different perspectives, and contribute to a good collaborative climate. With your pedagogical insight, you also have a good understanding of how students absorb knowledge and adapt your way of conveying information based on the recipient's needs and prerequisites.
