The Role of Care Assistant with Us

As a care assistant, you will meet people with different needs and work in their homes. It is a free and varied job where you are part of a professional work group. No day is like the other, and the work is stimulating and never boring. Sometimes it can be tough to work independently at a flexible pace, but all the warmth and joy from care recipients, relatives, and colleagues give new energy.

Your role includes:

• collaborating with colleagues and home healthcare based on good and close care as well as a rehabilitative approach
• drawing up and following implementation plans and routines based on the care recipient's needs
• creating a secure and stimulating environment together with your colleagues for the care recipient and in the work group
• performing delegated health and medical tasks based on your position and the needs of the operations

You will work according to a schedule set for days, evenings, and every other weekend. You will walk, cycle, and drive a car in the service.

Your Profile

You love working with people; you are a joy-bringer who gives energy to your care recipients and colleagues. As a person, you are proactive, flexible, and self-reliant in your work, seeing opportunities in changes and for development. In Kungsbacka, we try to do new things and would be happy if you have an interest in testing new welfare technology. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for you who:

• are trained as a care assistant
• express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work
• hold a B driving license

Kullavik Home Care is located halfway between Gothenburg and Kungsbacka with relaxing surroundings and proximity to the sea! The home care in Kullavik is the name of the municipal home care in Kungsbacka's own administration. We operate from Kyviksvägen 2 and therefore always have a short distance home to those we are there for.

Our Offer and Other Information

We offer a permanent full-time position with commencement as agreed.

The position is full-time 37 hours/week or as agreed. Within the Department of Care & Support, all employees within home care and care and support housing are employed at 100% engagement, but employees have the opportunity to reduce their engagement to the desired level based on operational needs.

Before an offer of employment, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record must be presented. The type of extract required is Work in the home with elderly and persons with disabilities. Work in the home with elderly and persons with disabilities, e-service | The Swedish Police Authority

Background checks may be conducted before employment.

From July 1, 2023, care assistant is a protected professional title.

When employed as a care assistant, you therefore need to present a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title care assistant. Please apply now if you don't already have one.
