The Radiation Oncology Clinic belongs to the business area of Hematology, Oncology, and Radiation Physics. The business area currently operates in Lund/Malmö, Helsingborg, and Kristianstad. Our modern radiation facility consists of twelve radiation therapy machines. In 2026, we will also begin treatments with our newly installed MR-Linac, a preparation area with two CT scanners and an MRI, reception services, brachytherapy, and isotope therapy. We provide radiation therapy for all common cancer diagnoses, for both adults and children. We are open for treatment during daytime hours, Monday to Friday.

Radiographers, nurses, nursing assistants, physicists, doctors, engineers, and biomedical analysts work at the unit. The unit has a total of approximately 150 employees. Radiation therapy methods are constantly evolving, making the department a very exciting and stimulating workplace with opportunities for competence development within the unit.

Job Description

We offer a developmental role within radiation therapy where high-tech care and oncological nursing form the foundation of the radiographer's duties. The work largely involves guiding the patient through technologically advanced care. As a radiographer, you are the link between technology and nursing. The form of care is characterized by short encounters with high quality. The work requires close multidisciplinary collaboration with nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, physicists, and engineers. Oncology is a specialty in constant change, which is also reflected in the work, which includes staying up to date with changes in treatment methodology. Working hours are during daytime, Monday to Friday, with scheduled development time.

We will provide you with an individually adapted introduction so that you feel secure with us.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed radiographer with the eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at a minimum level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is a requirement.

Experience in cancer care and/or work with technical equipment is considered meritorious. Further education in radiation therapy (45 credits) is strongly meritorious.

As a person, we believe you enjoy working with technology combined with patient-facing work in multidisciplinary teams. We work in a dynamic environment, where skills such as teamwork, communication, and patient focus are very important. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, social competence, and teamwork skills.
