Brunnas group home is centrally located near Ekerö Centre. It is a villa with apartments for five adults with disabilities in the areas of autism spectrum and developmental disabilities. The tenants all have their own outdoor spaces, either through ground-level outdoor areas or balconies. The villa is situated in a pleasant residential area with proximity to forest and fields, as well as a shared fruit orchard.

As a support staff member, you will have a meaningful job providing care, service, and support – always with the individual's needs at the center. Your task is to promote participation, independence, and quality of life in everyday life.

Your responsibilities:

• You provide individually adapted support in daily activities such as personal hygiene, meals, household chores, and leisure – always with the individual's needs in focus.
• You encourage and strengthen the user's independence and participation in decisions concerning their lives.
• You document according to current routines and follow implementation plans.
• You collaborate with colleagues, relatives, and other professions.
• You participate in planning and carrying out activities, both inside and outside the residence.
• You handle medication according to delegation.
• You contribute to a safe, inclusive, and stimulating living environment where every individual has the opportunity to develop.
• You follow routines regarding safety, working environment, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

To succeed in the assignment, you should:

• Be educated as a nurse assistant, childcare worker, or have an education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Knowledge of pedagogical methods such as AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), clarifying pedagogy, and low-arousal approach is meritorious.
• Good documentation habits.
• Receptive, responsible, and engaged.
• Ability to work independently and support colleagues.

To work for Ekerö Municipality within LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), you must present an extract from the police record of criminal convictions together with valid photo ID before employment. You request the extract on the police website. The extract must not be older than six months from the date of issue.
