Do you want to help create meeting places where children, young people, and families feel welcome, seen, and included? We are now looking for a youth leader for a project-based position located in Åhl.

About the position

We are seeking a dedicated youth leader who wants to contribute to developing and strengthening our work with children, young people, and families. As a youth leader, you will play a key role in launching a new initiative with a special focus on children and families in Åhl. You will also develop and maintain activities for children's groups and collaborate with local schools in the area.

The role also includes working with youth activities and confirmation preparation within the parish. You will be part of the parish's teaching team and collaborate closely with colleagues across different departments.

Responsibilities:

• Launch and develop activities focused on children and families in Åhl.
• Plan and implement activities for children and young people in Åhl.
• Collaborate with schools and other local stakeholders.
• Participate in the parish's youth activities.
• Contribute to the planning and implementation of confirmation work.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a qualified youth leader or has other education/experience that the employer considers equivalent.
• Has experience working with children and young people.
• Is proactive, relationship-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and in a team.

We assume that you are a member of the Church of Sweden, share the Church's values, and have an interest in the Church's work with children, young people, and families. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Employment terms

According to the Church of Sweden's collective agreement, fixed-term employment at 50% during the period from September 1, 2026, to June 30, 2028, located in Åhl Parish. Work during evenings and weekends may occur.
