The Vattenfall Group employs approximately 21,000 people. For over a hundred years, we have electrified industries, delivered energy to homes, and transformed lives through innovation.
Vattenfall Eldistribution AB distributes electricity to households, businesses, and society – 24/7, year-round. Our power grid spans over 12,000 miles, and we distribute electricity to nearly 900,000 customers. We build, operate, maintain, and invest in our power grid to ensure you, as a customer, receive a reliable supply. About the Role
Do you want to lead a business that is crucial for ensuring our electricity distribution operates safely and stably – 24/7? As the Head of OT Network, you will combine technology, leadership, and social benefit in a role where you are responsible for the communication infrastructure that is vital to our power grid operations. You will have the opportunity to develop an engaged team, collaborate closely with other functions, and create stability and calm in an area of great significance to society.
As Head of Network, you are responsible for the team that operates and manages Eldistribution's communication infrastructure. This includes both active and passive parts of our UCN network (Utility Communication Network), such as routers, switches, radio links, masters, fiber, and communication nodes.
You work both strategically and close to the operations. This means you create clear working methods, priorities, and guidelines while being present in daily operations and supporting the team in their development. This role suits you if you enjoy leading through clarity and want to contribute to a vital part of Sweden's critical infrastructure.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
- Lead and further develop the team within the network area and promote a sustainable work environment.
- Implement and further develop structure, order, and clear working methods that provide predictability and high quality.
- Manage and develop the communication infrastructure in line with the business's needs to ensure 24/7 availability.
- Create close collaboration and effective interfaces with control centers and other stakeholders.
- Establish, monitor, and optimize the budget for both operations and personnel.
You report to the responsible manager in the department's management group and actively contribute to the development of the business and the organization as a whole.
Requirements
We believe you thrive in a role where you lead through security, clarity, and engagement. You enjoy creating order in complex environments and are inspired by developing both people and working methods.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in leadership within technical, operational, or society-critical environments.
- Is a present, attentive, and clear leader who creates security and direction.
- Easily builds collaboration and creates structure even in complex and geographically dispersed environments.
You do not need a background in all our technical areas – we value your leadership, your curiosity, and your ability to create a work environment where people can succeed.
