Our client is undergoing an exciting reorganization and is now looking for a driven Economics Assistant. Here you are offered a role in a supportive team where your personality and willingness to develop weigh heavier than technical expertise.
About the role
In the role of Economics Assistant, you support the economics team with everything from ongoing bookkeeping to monthly closing. You work closely with the Head of Economics and three colleagues in an environment characterized by collaboration and precision.
The position is initially a consulting assignment through us at Academic Work, meaning you work as a consultant through us. The position is long-term, and there is an opportunity for direct employment with the client after the consulting period ends. This will be continuously evaluated through dialogue with your nearest consulting manager and the manager at the assignment.

Responsibilities
The role involves broad responsibility for both ongoing economic administration and reporting, where you ensure quality in the organization's financial processes.
- Contribute to monthly closing through journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Handle supplier and customer accounts as well as invoice follow-up.
- Ensure correct updating of commercial margins in databases.
- Follow up on projects and report deviations in cost and revenue flows.
- Analyze and compile monthly reports regarding results against budget.
- Create quarterly reports for warranties and sales schedules.
- Provide ongoing ad hoc support and simpler system training to colleagues.
- Other administration – handle varying administrative tasks related to economic processes, systems, and internal routines.
We are looking for someone who has
- At least one completed upper secondary education in economics.
- Experience from a similar role in economics or similar.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Good computer skills with knowledge of MS Office.
- Fluent knowledge of Swedish and English.
It is an advantage if you have
- Knowledge of economic systems such as SAP or ARIBA.
- A post-secondary degree in economics.
