About the School

Praktiska Gymnasiet Luleå offers students a concept where theory is mixed with practical exercises both at the school and at workplaces. At Praktiska, we hold ourselves to high standards to create the best conditions for an educational and enjoyable experience. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings include: Construction and Infrastructure, Vehicles and Transport, Sales and Service, Hairdressing and Styling, Hotel and Tourism, Industrial Technology, and Plumbing and Property.

Currently, the school has approximately 300 students and about 35 employees.

Your Role

The position is a permanent full-time role starting August 12, 2026, or as agreed upon. You will teach and guide our students in Swedish and English. Together with other colleagues, you will be part of a work team consisting of teachers in general upper secondary subjects as well as vocational teachers. We see you as an important and driving force to develop both the program and the subject, with the students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues.

In addition to subject-specific tasks, you will have duties such as mentor, just like other teachers at the school. Together, you and your colleagues will coach the students both socially and academically throughout their three years at Praktiska Gymnasiet. We primarily communicate through Schoolsoft, and we work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans. This applies equally to communication with students and colleagues.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a certified upper secondary school teacher in Swedish and English. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, and that you identify with our values and keywords. Our students are eager to enter the working life, and your biggest task is to guide them there!
