Do you want to be part of the exciting journey at the launch of a completely new kitchen? Then the position at Munktell's primary school restaurant, which opens in early next year, is just for you! Together with chefs and kitchen assistants, you will prepare and serve meals that are delicious, nutritious, appealing, and environmentally friendly.

Meal Service belongs to the Service Administration and brings together all public kitchens into a common organization. The purpose is to streamline the meal operations and achieve a high and consistent quality across the entire municipality. The Head of Meals and the Dietitian, together with unit managers, are responsible for approximately 300 employees. Together, they run around 80 kitchens.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Team Leader/Chef, your primary responsibility is a leadership role where you lead, delegate, and distribute the daily work in the kitchen. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in an operation where there are constant changes regarding routines and working methods. You are passionate about clear service thinking and constantly improving things for our diners and their dining environment.

You coach and guide the employees in the work team, both individually and in groups. Together with the work team, you follow up on the operations and ensure that you meet set goals, for example regarding quality. All chefs and assistants in the work group have distributed responsibilities and rotate through the different stations in the kitchen, working according to risk-based self-control.

You are a support to the unit manager in daily operations and are part of various networks together with other team leaders. An environmentally conscious way of working, with the aim of reducing negative climate impact through the purchase of organic food, cooking methods, and thoughtful menu choices, is seen as a matter of course by you.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who can inspire and involve others in finding new solutions, even under changed circumstances. Through your professional and inclusive approach, you have the ability to convey information clearly.

You have a high school education with a focus on hotel and restaurant or a chef's education. We are looking for you who have at least five years of experience working in a kitchen, with at least two years in a leadership role. Knowledge of HACCP is also required for the position. You have an economic mindset and work consciously with purchasing and raw material handling. Using diet data systems or other digital tools comes naturally to you. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is important to ensure correct handling of, for example, special diets.
